We often hear of law enforcement officials making arrests for charges related to possession, use or intent to sell drugs. Recently, this same type of arrest was made in Peoria where two people, a man and a woman, were under investigation for selling crystal meth.
The Peoria Police Department searched the home of these two suspects after serving search warrants in late March of 2014. During the search, detectives were able to find several ounces of crystal meth, marijuana, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia.
What gives this particular story a twist is the age of the two suspects. Both were in their late 50’s. They have been arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of marijuana, and other related charges. It seems that this particular couple doesn’t quite fit the mold of what police are typically on the lookout for when it comes to drug charges.
